I started doing Pilates because of an injury. After my first pregnancy I began running and playing sport but soon realised that my body hadn’t had the chance to rest and heal. I developed some hip and spine problems that prevented me from taking part in the activities I loved. Pilates helped me to put my mind in touch with my body and knit myself back together. In both teaching and doing Pilates I find that I’m able to leave behind the worries of the outside world and enter into a calming and nourishing place.
Working with the human body is endlessly fascinating. I find it incredibly rewarding when an individual can move out of hobbling pain and be able move more freely and functionally. It is a source of continued inspiration to be able to work with women and their bodies and their ability to create, heal and transform.
Pilates provides a contemplative space in which to increase flexibility and strength, giving one more energy.
