Scar-Work

Have you had surgery, including a caesarean birth, or an accident, with resulting scar tissue that’s causing tightness, pain or restricted movement? You could benefit from Scar-work.

Scar-work therapy concentrates on the underlying layers of the scar, stimulating the fascia and any adhesions to help mobilise and soften thicker tissues, also helping with the scars surface appearance.

Adhesions caused by a scar connect structures that should not be connected which can result in restricted mobility, organ function and can create pain or discomfort not only locally but distal to the scar itself.

Scars can be successfully treated no matter how old they are (post 6 weeks to surgery) as the body is constantly renewing cells.

Lyn Breakwell’s Offering on Mondays and Tuesdays- please contact Lyn, via the form below, to find out more and book a session.

  • 60 minutes - £80

From this Saturday onwards we have a series of events to support you, in different ways, on an explorative journey into your soul.

Saturday lunchtime join Daven Lee in a relaxed but sacred space to connect with your se*ual energy and body through embodiment and energy practices in a safe circle of other women.

Saturday afternoon step into a transformative experience where breath is your guide to inner balance and vitality with Ewa Bell.

On Sunday afternoon join Ewa Bell again to explore your anger, learn to understand, befriend, and digest it - so that it can work for you, not against you.

On Thursday come together with Susan Ateh to shed what is not yours, facing your internal storms and bask in the sun - claiming back your strength through the power of breath.

Next Saturday evening connect with the energy of the New Moon, feel the calling to sisterhood, join with other women and set your intentions for the month ahead with Desiree Diaz.

Five events, five opportunities to take a step inwards, journey through your internal landscape and return to the world refreshed.

It’s a wonderful, warm March introduction to Thomasina Lowe, who offers her breastfeeding and baby feeding expertise at Moon’s monthly New Mama & Parent One-Stop Drop-in.

She also offers so much more, over to Thomasina 👇

Greetings! I’m Thomasina.

I’m a registered lactation consultant and a breastfeeding peer supporter with the @bfnislington Breastfeeding Support Service. I have been a part of the Moon village since the early days, supporting mothers on their feeding journey.

My personal experience of breastfeeding my son, led me to train with the @thebreastfeedingnetworkuk in 2005. I have him to thank for introducing me to a world I didn’t know existed, breastfeeding and the village that comes with it!

Becoming a mother, and navigating the highs and the lows of that journey (which are ongoing!) has been transformative and underpins all the work I do with mothers and their babies.

I currently work at UCLH and the Whittington, run breastfeeding clinics and visit mothers in their homes.

I’ve previously worked as a person-centred counsellor. This has made the transition to supporting mothers a natural progression, supporting the potentially complex psychological demands breastfeeding can create.

I also love teaching – primarily ante-natal breastfeeding workshops. I believe knowledge is power, so equipping mothers with breastfeeding education is essential for a good start on this journey.

I consider it a privilege to support the families I work with during a pivotal point in their lives. Cliched perhaps, but I learned first-hand, as a new mother, that it certainly does take a village to raise a child.

With this in mind, I am also delighted to be part of the @wombandbloomlondon collective, where I teach antenatal breastfeeding education sessions and support mums postnatally with breastfeeding.

My aim is to instil a belief in mothers and families that they are not alone, that with the right guidance, love and care, they will find their way, feeling secure and confident in their choices, and ultimately enjoying being new mothers with their baby.
