Problems like a persistently runny nose or a baby who is unsettled and clingy can weigh heavily on parents, even when they are not considered serious enough to warrant much conventional treatment.

Or children can seem to collect every cough, cold, rash and tummy bug going. Sometimes there is a very clear physical complaint, such as eczema, recurring ear infections, digestive problems or sleep difficulties. At other times, the physical symptom is only part of the story.

I take the time to listen to parents and understand the child’s overall health, including their physical symptoms and emotional state. Parents often notice the small details that help to make the whole picture come together.

The aim is not simply to suppress a symptom, but to understand the individual pattern and support the child’s own capacity to adapt and recover.
