Reconnect in your Relationship

A workshop for relationship partners who want to communicate, connect and thrive together

Do you wish you had a day to pause, reconnect and invest in the relationship that matters to you?

This intimate one-day workshop offers an opportunity to step away from the pressures of everyday life and focus on your relationship. Together, you will explore how you communicate, what happens when challenges arise, remember the art of voicing appreciation and explore how to create greater understanding, closeness and emotional connection.

Few of us are taught how to build and sustain healthy, fulfilling relationships. Most of what we know about communication, conflict and intimacy is learned through our families, life experiences and the relationships we have witnessed around us. Sometimes those patterns serve us well. Sometimes they leave us feeling stuck, misunderstood, unheard or disconnected from the people we love.

Led by Shana Laffy, an experienced psychosexual and relationship psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer, the day combines practical teaching, guided reflection and structured exercises that you will complete with your partner. You will gain insights into the patterns shaping your relationship and learn tools to communicate more effectively and navigate the inevitable ups and downs of relational connection with greater compassion and authenticity.

Hosted here at Moon Women’s Health and limited to just six couples/relationships, the workshop is intentionally small to create a warm, supportive and confidential environment.

This is not group therapy, and there is no expectation that participants will share personal details with the wider group. The focus is on learning, practising and strengthening connection within your own relationship.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop inclusive and open to intimate partners of all genders, abilities, cultures, sexualities and relationship structures.

It is suitable for people who want to strengthen their relationship, are willing to engage with one another respectfully, and are open to developing genuine curiosity about each other’s experiences. Whether you are facing a particular challenge or simply wanting to invest in your relationship, the day offers a space to reflect, learn and grow together.

To ensure a safe and productive experience for everyone, this workshop is designed for couples/partners who can maintain emotional and physical safety in their relationship. It is not suitable for relationships where there is extreme conflict or violence that would make participation in a group learning environment unsafe.

What will we learn from coming?

Throughout the day, you will explore:

  • How to communicate in ways that foster understanding and connection
  • How to listen so your partner feels heard, valued and respected
  • The common patterns that sometimes leave couples resentful, distant and hopeless
  • Practical approaches to managing conflict and repairing relationship ruptures
  • Ways to deepen emotional intimacy and strengthen your bond
  • Skills and tools that can be taken home and applied in everyday life

You will leave with a deeper understanding of your relationship, practical communication tools, and renewed confidence in your ability to navigate challenges and strengthen connection together.

Shana Laffy’s offering at 10am to 4.30pm on 7th November

  • Early Bird Investment: £300
  • After 30th September: £350

Very excited by the latest artwork to grace the walls of Moon.

Inspired by the 100th anniversary of the Ladies' Pond, and crafted by local artist Jen Cable. The ponds hold a special place in many of our hearts, each of us with our own stories entwined into its waters.

There's even a specific term for the calming, meditative, and peaceful state that being in or near natural water creates.

Blue Mind.

Jen was first introduced to its charms by her grandma, some 50 years ago, and once you've had the experience, it never leaves you.

In Jen's words...

Jen was first introduced to its charms by her grandma, some 50 years ago, and once you've had the experience, it never leaves you. In Jen's words... "In winter I ease slowly down the ladder to meet the dark, icy chill that wakes up every nerve in my body.  A brief minute, or at most two, then it's out, past the icicles and off to a cafe to warm up whilst my skin tingles with joy.  In summer, moorhens, mandarin ducks and mallards swim by with their chicks from nests built on the life buoys and I bask in the cool sparkle of the water, staring up at the blue sky." What about you?  Where are you cooling off?  We'd love to hear your stories of the pond in its centenary year.  Or, if you've never been, then maybe this is the year to try; it's a magical place.6 days ago
