Vocal Play! Singing Session for Mamas and Babies

Join us for a mamas-and-babies singing session with a twist! If you’re a weary mama looking to recharge your batteries while reconnecting with your creativity – and soothing your baby along the way – Vocal Play could be just the tonic you need.

Suitable for: mamas with babies who are not yet crawling (up to around seven months).

Agustina Plos & Danielle Styles’ offering at 10.30am to 12.30pm on Friday 9th October and March 5th 2027

  • Investment: £20

Bookings for this event are made directly with the facilitators. Book your ticket here.

If you would like to access the Women Supporting Women Fund to subsidise this event, find more details here.

Sing, sound, and play with us!

You won’t learn traditional songs in Vocal Play. Instead, Agustina and Danielle will teach songs made up of simple, layered parts that they’ll improvise on the spot. As we move through the session, you’ll have the opportunity to reawaken your creativity by adding your own little improvised phrases to our group sound – but only if you wish. Otherwise you can simply sing parts that someone else has made up, and immerse yourself in the magic of songs that take shape in the moment.

Together we will:

  • Play with sounds and simple rhythms
  • Sing accessible improvised songs made of repetitive parts, layered to create beautiful harmony
  • Sing our babies’ names and spontaneous lullabies

Come as you are, do as you need

This will be a zero-pressure, relaxed musical experience with an emphasis on nourishment and play. All singing abilities and levels of experience are welcome. All levels of sleep-deprivation and states of ‘baby brain’ are welcome too! You are free to feed, rock, and change your baby, as well as move around at any time during the session.

Join us to:

  • Connect with yourself, your baby, and other mothers and babies through spontaneous music-making and vocal play
  • Harness the power of your own voice to nourish yourself, calm your nervous system, and soothe your baby
  • Reawaken your creative self in an accessible way, and remember who you are outside of your role as a mama!

Tea and biscuits will be provided.

We (Agustina and Danielle) look forward to welcoming you into our mamas and babies circle! If you have any questions in the meantime, please reach out to us.

Sorry, only three weeks late!

But a big thank you to all the wonderful folks who donated £3 when they booked with Moon in September.

Your support means that other women in our community can access the support they need.

The Women Supporting Women Fund offers 40% subsidies for anyone who needs it, no questions asked.

Unfortunately there is quite a long waiting list at the moment, so if you're able to donate the price of a coffee next time you book, then you're a flipping 🌟

The Camden Community Safety Team are organising a women's safety walkabout on Thursday 29th October, in the Highgate area.

They want to:

⭕️ Look at locations that feel unsafe.

⭕️ Find out about women’s safety concerns or incidents experienced

⭕️ Understand any other general community safety concerns we have

Our feedback is key as it serves to inform the route of the walkabout, as well as improving community safety for those living, visiting, and working in Camden.

If you'd like to feedback comments or take part in the walkabout, then feel free to comment beneath or DM us, and we'll pass this onto The Camden Community Safety Team.

Please note this is specifically regarding the Highgate ward (see second image).

I had been away from my eldest for over a week, and he surprised me this morning (6.30am!) by appearing at Moon (I'd left him sleeping) to help me clean after yesterday's Acupuncture Clinic 😍

I think it was all a bit much 🤣
