Class Offered

I teach Pilates and movement and am certified in Pilates and yoga with degrees from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in Psychology and Social Work.

I have lived in the UK for 15 years and have found Pilates to be helpful in centering myself first while raising small children and later while managing family life during my husband’s extended cancer treatment.

Pilates can be done for its own sake, or to support another activity. Pilates allowed me to take up classical ballet in my 40’s just as it allows many people to extend their football, running, yoga and tennis practices.  Prior to living in London, I worked as a social worker in New York City and taught English in Japanese secondary schools.

I lead mat based Pilates classes at Moon and also have a home-based equipment studio in Crouch End with a Reformer, a Cadillac Tower, a stability chair, and a ladder barrel.

The Reformer is having a resurgence at the moment and it is easy to see why: the Reformer offers strengthening, weight bearing exercises for the arms, legs, back and trunk while also offering exercises that facilitate, balance, twisting, and articulation of the spine.  Pilates equipment allows you to move with support to find greater range of motion and strength to awaken your entire body.

Weight resistance exercises are recommended for everyone to increase bone density and muscle mass, which has recently been found to correlate with longevity

If you’ve never done equipment Pilates before, the equipment can seem curious and unintuitive--it’s not easy to guess how to use the equipment if you’ve never used it before.  Having a one to one session to learn how to correctly position your body and learn proper muscle recruitment can make a difference between feeling that you are making shapes with your body versus learning to find energy within your body.

I am trained to work with people with scoliosis as well as pregnant and post-partum women.

You can read more about me at emilynaumovic.com and instagram.com/emilynaumovic and find out more about one-to-one sessions at my home studio by contacting me here.

Three upcoming sessions to support you in returning to Your Self, as we slowly descend into Winter...

On Thursday evening, Desiree Diaz holds sacred space at the New Moon Women’s Healing & Meditation Circle. You will experience feeling heard and seen as you set your intentions for the month - focusing on manifesting the life that you want and connecting with other women to help your manifestation become even stronger.

On Saturday afternoon, Daven Lee leads us in Awakening Desire & Receiving Pleasure - an on experiential afternoon workshop, inviting you to gently reconnect with your desires and expand your ability to receive. Through guided practices, playful exploration, and supportive inquiry, you’ll begin to dissolve the fears and resistances that keep you from claiming what you truly long for.

On Wednesday evening, Jasmine St Cliere and Sophie Webb guide us in a Winter Acupuncture & Sound Bath. This session blends the ancient healing practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the vibrational medicine of crystal singing bowls, gongs, and other sacred instruments.

You can find more details and book via the link in our bio.

On Wednesday we had a brilliant Instagram Live chat with Tracy Awere from The Sankofa Birth Experience.

We spoke about her offerings at Moon and beyond, including her Pregnancy Relaxation Retreats (next one this Sunday! - With 2026 dates also now available), as well as her weekly YogaBirth sessions and 1-2-1 hypnobirthing and birth preparation sessions.

All of which, at their core, focus on your 'power within'.

Tracy's work has recently received recognition from Future Camden Fund. This has allowed her to offer subsidised and no-cost places with all her offerings - contact Tracy to find out more.

We also spoke about the most recent attack on the world of maternity care and support, led by a recent Times article by Jeremy Hunt (more on our thoughts about this shortly).

It was a brilliant chat - BUT - technology failed us and the session would not upload to Instagram once we'd finished 😭😭😭

So if you'd like to find out more about Tracy, including her Pregnancy Relaxation Retreats then follow the link in our bio or check out Tracy's IG page.

💙 Beat the Blues this Monday 💙

The Acupuncture Collective
Appointments available 2pm - 8pm (last few spots left)
Monday 10th November

SAD, otherwise known as seasonal affective disorder, can hit hard, as the clocks turn back in October, and the daylight fades...

What is SAD?

MIND, the mental health organisation, describe SAD's symptoms as difficulty in concentrating, feeling sad, guilty or hopeless, being more prone to illnesses such as colds and infections, sleeping too long or too little and changes in hunger or sexual interest.

It is a reaction to seasonal changes in daylight, which disrupts our body clock and hormones like serotonin, which affect mood, appetite and sleep.

🌟 But here’s the good news 🌟

Acupuncture is the answer to our hormonal prayers!

It helps regulate our nervous system, calming us down or energising us, depending on which points around the body are focused on.

It also helps boost serotonin and melatonin, which boost our mood and help us sleep.

We can also use acupuncture to strengthen our immune system, by using points on the Lung Meridian and tonify what the ancient Chinese called Wei Qi! Go on… Google it! All that and the loving embrace of our warm, friendly group clinic...

See you on 10th November...

Thank you so much to these wonderful folk, who donated to the Women Supporting Women Fund in October.

Your generosity means that even more members of our community can access our offerings.

However, unfortunately we currently have a waiting list for accessing this fund.

So if you're able to make a donation, either when you book a treatment, class or event at Moon OR you can follow the link in our bio and make a standalone donation, it would be gratefully received.

If you'd like to make use of the WSW Fund then you can also find out more via the link in our bio.

See you soon.
