Sessions offered:

My aim is to offer mothers practical guidance and emotional support in a non-judgemental and compassionate way to help them reach their breastfeeding goals.

I have supported hundreds of women with breastfeeding challenges such as painful feeds, engorgement, mastitis, issues with supply (too much or too little milk), concerns with slow or static weight gain, expressing, managing feeds pre & post a tongue tie division, breast refusal, feeding with nipple shields, mixed feeding, bonding between mother and baby, weaning off the breast, complementing weaning with breastfeeding and returning to work.

Often talking through the birth experience can unlock the answer to a feeding problem and I am comfortable engaging in these more in-depth conversations. My understanding of your experience comes from a personal place, having struggled to breastfeed my first child after a long and difficult birth. Prior to supporting mothers with breastfeeding, I worked for many years as a person-centred counsellor which informs my lactation practice.

I am an IBCLC and a member of the LCGB. I trained with the Breastfeeding Network in 2005 and have been supporting mothers through the charity for over 15 years. I work in NHS hospitals such as UCLH, the Whittington and the Royal Free. I run community breastfeeding drop-ins and clinics and do home visits. I keep abreast of current research and attend many relevant study days and conferences.

We've got something special to share...

To further support our community work, we've set up a sister organisation - Moon Community Health CIC.

Here's half the team, meeting this morning, to discuss our upcoming collaboration with Highgate Newtown Community Centre @hncp_2025 and Hopscotch @hopscotchwc

This Autumn, we're expanding our successful New Mama & Parent One-Stop Drop-in to reach even more members of our diverse community.

Wow! 4 years ago today... Moon hadn't opened yet, there was still a lot to be done and I had to take a breather and a sit down...

What a lot has happened in this time (including discovering barefoot shoes 😉), yet the years have flown...

Let's see what the next four years bring 😊

Join us this Monday (21st July) for our low cost acupuncture clinic at Moon Women's Health.

We’re over halfway through 2025, and our feet are firmly planted in Summer.

In Chinese Medicine, Summer belongs to the Fire element - linked to warmth, joy, connection, and the outward-moving energy of Yang. It’s a time of momentum, movement, and brightness.

Bustling social calendars, busy work schedules, and that hazy, sticky heat after a sudden downpour.

Acupuncturists love this season for its vibrant, outward energy - but we also know that all this activity can leave us feeling scattered, overstretched, or out of sync.

And if you’ve found yourself taking a few steps back with your wellbeing recently - know that it’s OK. The path to long-term wellbeing isn’t always straight.

So this Summer, ask yourself:
☀️ What do I need to feel calmer or more connected?
☀️ Am I supporting my nervous system and hormonal health, or running on empty?
☀️ Do I need to come back to the basics - like sleep, food, and breath?

Here at the Acupuncture Collective, Sophie and Dr Sunila can help you recalibrate.

Acupuncture supports your body’s rhythms, helps re-anchor your energy, and gives you space to pause and reconnect with what matters most.

Whether that’s managing stress, giving your hormones a helping hand, or laying the groundwork for the busy summer holidays - the Acupuncture Collective is here to support you.

Our next Acupuncture Collective is taking place between 2pm to 8pm on Monday 21st July - Find more details and book via the link in our bio.
