Rebirthing Circle: Heal Birth Trauma & Recode Your Limbic Imprint
Re-birthing sessions are for those ready to release the anxiety that has quietly shaped their lives.
So many of us experience trauma during birth — whether our own birth, or bringing life into the world. According to research by the pioneers of prenatal psychology, 90% of births in the U.S. were ‘traumatic’. This includes medical interventions, anesthesia, bright lights, pre-mature cord cutting and potentially unnecessary caesarean births.
This can create an imprint of stress, for a baby, whose sensitivity to feelings and sensations are at their highest during the perinatal phase. This is as the Limbic system, responsible for how we process our emotions, regulate stress, and even our memories, is the active part of our brain during this time. Therefore, it is left with an imprint of trauma, trapping fear and anxiety deep within our nervous system.
What Re-birthing offers is an alternative memory of a calm, empowering birth, which re-codes our Limbic systems — with a positive memory of entering the world, feeling deeply loved, nurtured and empowered with choice. This creates a shift in how we show up in our lives, allowing us to let go of our old habits, and cycles of stress / anxiety, bringing us into alignment with our soul’s purpose.
This is the heart of my work, and it’s what led me to train as a Birth-Into-Being Facilitator, offering workshops or ‘birth’shops developed by Elena Tonetti-Vladimirova designed to release birth and developmental trauma.
You can expect:
- A new empowering experience of birth through Limbic Imprint Recoding – a transformative,
body-centered process that rewrites early-life emotional blueprints, which will include, gentle
movement practices, guided meditation, journalling, an opportunity to share, if you wish.
- A group of no more than 6 other women, allowing for an intimate and safe space.
Please bring:
- Any extra blankets you wish to make sure you are super comfortable during the meditation
- A pen and paper for the journaling
- Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely
Ifalase McGowan’s offering on Sunday 26th April (2.30pm - 6pm) and Saturday 30th May (1.30pm to 5pm).

At this Monday's Acupuncture Collective you can experience the benefits of acupuncture at a lower cost - but how can this ancient healing modality support your mental health?
In acupuncture (and Chinese Medicine, where acupuncture originates) there's a special word for our overall emotional spirit - the ‘Shen'. When we’re feeling unsettled and anxious we refer to it as a ‘Scattered Shen’.
Through a delicate and detailed approach, acupuncture helps to benefit our mental health in the following ways:
Recalibrating our nervous system
Encouraging better quality sleep
Promoting clarity of thought and focus
Working on a deeper level to help our hormones work with us, not against us
The holistic approach we take at the Acupuncture Collective means your symptoms aren’t just treated at the surface level, we go deeper.
If you would like to experience how transformative acupuncture can be, book in with us and allow your Shen to settle into a state of Zen.
Our next Acupuncture Collective is taking place between 2pm to 8pm on Monday 20th April - find more details and book via our bio.1 week ago
