Wild Urban Moon Family Sunday Fun
An autumnal event to celebrate our community, and our place within the urban nature that surrounds us. It brings together four local community-focused groups for Sunday morning outdoor family fun.
All activities (including face-painting) are free to access, but all donations are very gratefully received.
Join us for:
- Face painting
- Whittling & conker crafts with Urban Forest Tribe
- Weaving/garland making/felting/fabric craft with Wildwood Nature School
- Cakes, hot drinks & soft drinks from Brookfield School Community
- Toy & book stall from Brookfield School Community
- 30 minute family sessions (see below)

10.15am to 10.45am - Breathe, Connect, Wiggle & Giggle with Kerry Miller
A playful family breathwork session exploring the power of the breath through movement, connection and relaxation. A nurturing space for little ones and grown-ups to slow down, reconnect and discover simple ways to feel calmer, lighter and more connected.

11am to 11.30am - Family Yoga with Mary Sheppard
In this autumnal inspired nature and animal inspired yoga class you’ll learn to arch your backs like a cat, stretch your limbs like a tree and flow like a waterfall to help learn body awareness and appreciation.

11.45am to 12.15pm - Story-Telling, Yoga Style with Fred Butler
This special session will serve as a story-telling session to bring a book to life as an immersive experience. Each theme tells a unique story inspired by nature, the seasons and world culture through movement and meditative moments.

12.30pm to 1pm - Calm Together: Regulating the Family’s Nervous System with Olivia Baker
A warm, playful workshop exploring simple ways for children and adults to understand and regulate their nervous systems. Through movement, breathing, connection and calming activities, families will discover practical tools to manage big feelings, reduce stress and create greater calm and connection — together.
