Mindful Family Time
Join us for an hour of mindful fun and creativity in this group session for children aged 3-8 and their grown-ups.
We will promote connection with our children and embrace the present moment through stories, mindful movement, creative play, and music. Our little-ones will be practicing child-friendly mindfulness, and by staying fully in the present with them we are practicing mindfulness too! By slowing down and setting aside distractions, we can begin to see the world through our children’s eyes – how interesting and amazing everything can become when we welcome “the beginner’s mind”!
In each session we will explore different seasons and themes, we will practice child-friendly mindfulness techniques such as breathwork, naming our emotions, and calming techniques, and we will learn how to meditate while enjoying time with our little ones. I will guide parents in staying present with their children and gently bringing their child(ren)’s attention and focus back to mindful activities, and support family and group connection.
The integration of realistic and achievable mindfulness practices into the often hectic and overwhelming lives of busy parents can expand our moments of serenity, raise our happiness levels, and enhance our emotional connections with our children. Mindful parents raise a mindful generation.
