Pelvic Wellbeing – An Embodied Approach

In this workshop we will explore how to deal with the issues that can
arise in the pelvic region, ranging from pelvic floor worries to separation of
your abdominals and address the question - what is normal post birth?
Also looking openly & honestly at how you are feeling towards and in
your body. This may be due to the change’s pregnancy; birth & motherhood
brings but also the menopausal period that can often span many years.
We will work to improve your connection to your core and your
understanding of what its function is. What is a hypo or hypertonic pelvic
floor? We will look at how to develop balance within these muscles and better understand
the role your breath plays.
Embodied movement will help you reconnect and begin to
recover and rediscover a way back to yourself. Yoga can be at the heart of
your postnatal recovery whether 3 months, 3 years or more, post birth
right up to pre menopause and beyond. So all our welcome, if you have a pelvic
floor that you want to feel more connected to then come along
We start small with simple, playful movements to begin the
journey of undoing and releasing tension held in the landscape of the body.
Attention to the rehabilitation of the muscles within your pelvic region will
be interweaved into simple movement and postural awareness that you can take
into your daily life, the space between yoga classes and treatments.
All you need to bring along to this workshop is yourself
in relaxed clothing, so you can move with ease, and an open & curious mind.
Included will be deep relaxation and breath work so do bring a blanket/shawl
and warm socks and a journal if you know you like to take notes.

What's new, this New Moon?
Hopefully you should have found the new lunar cycle's newsletter in your inbox this morning. If not here's a snapshot...
"Well the weather's been a bit changeable of late, an uncertainly that feels like it's mirroring what's happening in the wider world, slowly eroding away the foundations of what's come before..."
Trust me, it's not as heavy as it sounds, read more in the link via our bio.1 week ago

Spring is well and truly here. Do you feel the quickening of pace? Nature is bursting forth all around us and quite frankly the world feels a bit bonkers doesn’t it.
We need our brains to be able to take refuge within our bodies and rest a while, even during the busiest time of year. This is where acupuncture can be really helpful.
Most people think acupuncture is a physical treatment. However, most converts will tell you it’s the feeling of calm and zen followed by deep sleep that is one of the most enjoyable aspects.
I’ve got a new Garmin and am interested in how my body recovers from exercise. I was overjoyed to see it has acupuncture listed alongside yoga, breathwork and massage as one of the most calming and restorative things you can do. There is science!
The Acupuncture Collective is the perfect space to come and take an hour away from the buzz of life and tell Dr. Sunila and myself what’s going on with your brain and body and see if they can get everything working in more blissful coherence.

Our next Acupuncture Collective is taking place between 2pm to 8pm on Monday 11th May
