Amanda Davie
Sessions offered:
Hi, my name is Amanda Davie and I am an executive and leadership coach, coach trainer, learning & development consultant, board advisor, trustee, entrepreneur and investor.
The work I love doing the most is coaching women to overcome their barriers to success and realise their full potential in their careers and lives. And, because I live around the corner from Moon, I am absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to work with the women who mean the most to me: my friends, neighbours and community.
My career began in 1998, in the UK Internet advertising sector, where I learned alongside dot.com entrepreneurs how to build, lead and sell successful digital media start-up companies. Then in 2008, I went in search of more autonomy and success on my terms and founded my first company, which grew into an international digital management consulting firm, with offices in London and New York.
Nurturing and developing people has always been my passion, so in 2011 I co-founded a non-profit mentoring programme and, in support of other female entrepreneurs, I became a mentor on the Cherie Blair International Mentoring Programme for Women in Business.
In 2013 I made a significant career shift to further focus on my passion for developing people, studied for a Certificate in Psychology of Coaching and became a qualified member of the Association for Coaching. I then co-founded an executive coaching company called Equal Talent and in 2020, in response to the pandemic-aggravated gender inequality across the global economy, we launched She Has No Limits, a movement and now 2,500-strong global community of professional women, empowering themselves and coaching one another to design the careers they deserve.
I am an ardent womanist and am on a mission to help make the world of work a fairer and more rewarding place for everyone, especially women. In recent years, I have perhaps become best known for my work with women and other marginalised groups, and also with courageous leaders who challenge and address the often entrenched bias and prejudice that can limit organisations from creating diverse, inclusive and high-performing cultures.
Outside of work, I love walking my dog or jogging with friends on the Heath, swimming in the Ladies Pond and singing in a local community choir. I am also doing my best to raise two emotionally intelligent, egalitarian young men - feel free to provide feedback if you come across them!
