Sessions offered:

With over twenty five years of supporting women through the journey of pregnancy & birth into motherhood. I developed my approach under the umbrella of the Active Birth Centre which I ran as co-director for many years alongside Janet Balaskas.

I support women through an embodied approach that includes awareness not only of our physical body but also our emotional, spiritual & mental wellbeing as each element effects the others. Sensing into your physical and emotional inner landscape in an enquiring and curious way, can be truly transformational. You can let go of habits that no longer serve you and find new pathways with a movement practice, that awakens your body awareness, as a tool for healing.

Alongside this I also offer birth debrief sessions which can include Traumatic Birth Recovery 3 Step Rewind as well as one-to-one coaching for mothers, my Motherhood Mentoring packages which support you on your ongoing journey of motherhood. Movement & breath are often part of these sessions depending on the differing needs of each woman. All my sessions our available over Zoom or in clinic.

I also offer enrichment trainings and mentoring to all practitioners who work with new mothers. My Mother Nurture’ training focuses on the all-important ‘fourth trimester’. If you want to know more do contact me.

⭕️ The Acupuncture Collective - This Monday ⭕️

We often talk about health as a marathon, not a sprint. With winter (and El Niño), and all its demands on our immune system, on its way, now is the perfect time for a pre-emptive tune-up.

In Chinese medicine, our immune system is made up of layers of defence, and Acupuncture is our Holy Grail in fortifying these defences.

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) perspective, strengthening your Wei Qi (Protective Qi) now is the best way to prevent winter colds and keep your foundations strong.

Whether you've been managing chronic digestive issues, navigating hormonal wobbles, or seeking support for your mental well-being, our Collective haven is here to help you.

We'll be working to build that natural inner vitality so you can greet the colder months from a place of strength.

We are also delighted to let you know that with Dr Sunila taking a step back, as she prepares for the arrival of her little one, we welcome Jules Simonneau to the Moon Women's Health practitioner family.

Our next Acupuncture Collective is taking place between 3pm to 8pm on Monday 12th October

Despite the warmth, Autumn is now well and truly upon us: the farmers’ market is full of squashes and conkers shimmer underfoot.

With the season change comes an artwork change to adorn the wall of Moon’s studio space.

Local artist Jen Cable has continued her generosity and loaned us her work ‘Hidden Connections’ - a piece that highlights the interconnected world of trees.

Mature trees are able to pass nutrients to shaded or struggling saplings through their underground fungal networks. During drought, trees share water with their neighbours, helping younger trees thrive when resources are scarce.

Trees don’t simply look after themselves - they’re part of a bigger, connected community. We see this reflected our own community, the small acts that keep us together.  A kind word, checking in on a neighbour, sharing what we have, lending a hand when someone is struggling.

When times are tough, these small acts of care can make all the difference. So, when you next pass a tree in your street, give it a drink. A little water from each of us can go a long way.

Small acts matter.

Anna Lawton has such a beautiful way with words we had to reshared her post about Moon's 5th Birthday Celebrations - WOW 5 YEARS!

(And also I'm blushing ☺️)

👇👇👇

Celebrating 5 years of @moon_womens_health this evening with such joy and fulfilment.

One of the huge privileges of this amazing job is working with mothers and families, as well as working with so so so many incredible women in connected spaces.

Moon is a huge part of that for me.

Anna @hampstead_heath_herbalism has created something so special and so real at Moon, and I feel hugely thankful to have witnessed it and been part of it since the beginning.

She has held space and connection in such a unique way, and benefitted so many women and families across north London. She has enabled so many of us to explore ideas and businesses, giving space to fail safely, and succeed with pride.

I am so incredibly lucky to so often spend my time around glorious, enriching, inspiring women. I never take it for granted. Anna is one of them and tonight I celebrate her, the other amazing women in this space, and everything we continue to create.
On a week when hope has felt slightly further away, this was the grounding I needed.

After coming together with so many wonderful ones at the Homerton protest yesterday, I conclude this 48hrs with the strong reminder of how many good people there are doing good work amongst it all.

👆 Tonights celebration 👉 Some pictures from my early days at Moon and the beginnings 💞

To those strong women, may we be them, may we support them, may we surround ourselves with them, may we raise them ✊💜💪
