Taking Heart: a free Valentine’s session on self-compassion, understanding and kindness

This is an opportunity to offer a portion of this day for celebrating love, romance and connection to yourself with the intention of developing authentic self-compassion. We will begin with selecting Angel cards, going on to investigate the meaning of words like Spontaneity, Acceptance, Kindness and Connection, and moving into some gentle, dynamic exploration of how we can access such resources for ourselves in the year ahead.

Anyone is welcome to join, including babies and small children for those who are in the earlier stages of this kind of holding. Participant numbers are limited to 6-8 (depending on how many are accompanied small dependents) so sign up in advance stating whether or not you’ll be attending alone. This is a free session with donations towards the Moon initiative welcome to cover the hire cost of this beautiful workshop space (suggested £10 per person).

Taking Heart can sit as a stand-alone workshop or as a prequel to Alexa’s 12-week psychodrama psychotherapy group, From Equinox To Solstice: Evolving Kindness with the Sun, Moon and Internal Seasons, which begins on Tuesday 4th March 2025 and will run weekly from 9.30-11.45am at 20 Great Portland Street, London W1W 8QR.
