Awakening Desire & Receiving Pleasure
A Half-Day Workshop for Women
Do you long for more pleasure, intimacy, and joy in your life—but feel unsure how to ask for what you want, or even how to identify what you truly desire?
This experiential afternoon workshop invites you to gently reconnect with your desires and expand your ability to receive. Through guided practices, playful exploration, and supportive inquiry, you’ll begin to dissolve the fears and resistances that keep you from claiming what you truly long for.
This is for you if you:
- Struggle to know what you want, much less ask for it
- Long to experience more pleasure—in intimacy and beyond
- Want to soften into receiving without shame or anxiety
- Wish to set boundaries that allow you to relax and trust more deeply
- Crave greater intimacy in your relationships—and with yourself
- Feel afraid of asking for what you want—or even of actually getting it
What you’ll explore:
- Visioning & Releasing Resistance: What it feels like to imagine your desires, and then recognize—and release—the resistance that keeps them at bay
- The Practice of Pleasure: Gentle, body-based tools to awaken sensation, receptivity, and joy
- Receiving & Boundaries: Learning the dynamics of giving and receiving, and how to define and communicate your limits clearly and directly
- Playful Practices: Embodied practices (drawn from Betty Martin’s Wheel of Consent and other sources) connect you to your full-hearted yes and your sacred no, and invite your nervous system to settle and feel safe so you can fully receive
Why this matters:
Desire lives in us in every moment—from the small, daily longings (a cup of tea just so, five more minutes in the sun) to the deep visions of intimacy and fulfillment we hold inside. Yet so often we deny or silence these desires, cutting ourselves off from joy, satisfaction, and life itself.
This workshop offers gentle but potent tools to help you turn back toward desire, expand your capacity for receiving, and set yourself on the path of pleasure, joy, and true fulfillment.
You are invited into this women-only circle, a safe space to awaken your desires, and open to receiving and pleasure.
Details:
- Small group: maximum of 8 participants
- 4 hours of learning, practicing, and sharing

This month Sophie and Dr Sunila are focusing on how acupuncture can support us through stressful and pressurised times...
Stress and anxiety can manifest in many ways - whether it’s racing thoughts that keep you up at night, a pounding heart, or an unsettled stomach. These feelings are your body’s way of signaling that it’s sensing danger, even if the threat isn’t immediate.
But when stress doesn’t switch off, it can feel like a pressure cooker building up inside. If left unchecked, this can lead to physical symptoms like tension headaches, digestive issues, or changes in your menstrual cycle. That’s where acupuncture can help.
From a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) perspective, stress and anxiety disrupt the balance of Qi (energy) in the body and scatter the “Shen,” or spirit. Acupuncture helps to restore this balance, calming the mind and reconnecting the body.
From a Western perspective, acupuncture regulates the nervous system, helping to reduce stress hormones while stimulating the production of serotonin and dopamine—the same ‘happy’ chemicals targeted by anti-anxiety medications. This makes acupuncture a truly complementary way to help you manage stress and anxiety over the long term.
At the Acupuncture Collective, Sophie and Dr. Sunila offer treatments designed to bring your body and mind back into harmony. Whether you’ve been feeling overwhelmed or simply need a way to let off steam, acupuncture could be the vent you’ve been looking for.
Needles in, stress out.
Join Sophie and Dr. Sunila at the next Acupuncture Collective and take the first step toward finding your calm.
Our next Acupuncture Collective is taking place between 2pm to 8pm on Wednesday 18th February.

Wow, a very generous donation from author Sofia Bothwell, a collection of her books focused on how addiction can manifest.
Sofia is holding a workshop, Healing the Eating Habit, at Moon on Saturday 28th February, where she'll explore the underlying causes of overeating, the emotional issues that can cause us to eat when full and the importance of raising self-acceptance.
We'll be learning more about this session in an upcoming Instagram Live (18th Feb), so you can find out more then, as well as via a link in our bio ('What's On in February').
Also, a reminder to check out our library next time you're at Moon.2 weeks ago
