Healing Touch and Presence for the People (and Animals) You Love (for non-practitioners)

We all have the capacity and innate ability to be healers for those we love.

In this gentle and practical 4-hour workshop, you’ll be introduced to the essential principles of holding space for healing, and guided in practicing simple, conscious touch. These skills will help you offer comfort, care, and grounded presence to those closest to you. The approach you’ll be learning is inspired by Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and other holistic modalities.

This is for anyone who wants to bring more healing energy, compassion, and connection into everyday moments with those you love.

Whether you want to:

  • Soften stress in a loved one’s body
  • Offer relief and reassurance during illness or difficulty
  • Strengthen bonds of trust with children, partners, or friends
  • Extend calming presence and touch to animals who share your life

…you’ll leave with practical skills and a felt sense of how to hold a healing space.

What we’ll explore together:

🌿 The foundations of healing presence—grounding, the present moment, and awakening your hands’ sensitivity
🌿 Simple touch techniques for comfort, calm and relaxation
🌿 The art of holding a healing space with your body, energy, and attention
🌿 How to feel energy and track shifts that indicate healing change
🌿 Supporting the body’s wisdom and trusting the mysterious process of healing

Details:

  • Small group: maximum of 8 participants
  • 4 hours of learning, practicing, and sharing

🌿 You don’t need experience, just curiosity and a desire to deepen your caring presence with those you love. Young people welcome!

Queen of Kentish Town - Livia Palmiero ladies and gentlemen.

We visited @wildisearth recently and were absolutely blown away by her passion, dedication and joy for fermentation, community and our beautiful planet.

Wild is Earth is next to the Sainsbury's opposite Kentish Town tube, with the bar open on Thursdays and Fridays (until 11pm) for a beautifully curated and produced range of kombucca as well as wines and beers.

Pop in, say hi and sample the drinks, it's only through community support that these wonderful spaces can exist.

This month Sophie and Dr Sunila are focusing on how acupuncture can support us through stressful and pressurised times...

Stress and anxiety can manifest in many ways - whether it’s racing thoughts that keep you up at night, a pounding heart, or an unsettled stomach. These feelings are your body’s way of signaling that it’s sensing danger, even if the threat isn’t immediate.

But when stress doesn’t switch off, it can feel like a pressure cooker building up inside. If left unchecked, this can lead to physical symptoms like tension headaches, digestive issues, or changes in your menstrual cycle. That’s where acupuncture can help.

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) perspective, stress and anxiety disrupt the balance of Qi (energy) in the body and scatter the “Shen,” or spirit. Acupuncture helps to restore this balance, calming the mind and reconnecting the body.

From a Western perspective, acupuncture regulates the nervous system, helping to reduce stress hormones while stimulating the production of serotonin and dopamine—the same ‘happy’ chemicals targeted by anti-anxiety medications. This makes acupuncture a truly complementary way to help you manage stress and anxiety over the long term.

At the Acupuncture Collective, Sophie and Dr. Sunila offer treatments designed to bring your body and mind back into harmony. Whether you’ve been feeling overwhelmed or simply need a way to let off steam, acupuncture could be the vent you’ve been looking for.

Needles in, stress out.

Join Sophie and Dr. Sunila at the next Acupuncture Collective and take the first step toward finding your calm.

Our next Acupuncture Collective is taking place between 2pm to 8pm on Wednesday 18th February.
