Classes offered:

I am a local yoga and movement teacher in Tufnell Park and I teach mainly within this community. I have taught pregnancy and postnatal yoga for 14 years and through this work, I am grateful to have shared in 700 births besides my own two sons (now grown).

Pregnancy Yoga & Birth Preparation

My pregnancy classes will help prepare your body and mind so that you are more comfortable in pregnancy and so that you may have an easier birth. I am a strong believer in physiology before force. I am a Spinning Babies Parent Educator and a Body Ready Method Pro. I use both these approaches in my pregnancy classes. I offer 1:1 sessions if your baby is breech and I run partner sessions for labour and birth.

Postnatal Yoga

I specialise in the core and pelvic health space. Through movement, alignment and breathwork, I have helped women with diastasis recti, prolapse and incontinence. In my group postnatal classes (with baby), we will work to rehab your core while baby gets a bit of massage, movement and songs.

I am a Restore Your Core® Teacher and Corrective Exercise Specialist (Pregnancy & Postpartum, Dr Sarah Duvall). If required, I am available for 1:1 sessions for more specific issues.

Hatha Yoga

I teach an alignment-based Hatha Yoga class in small groups yet tailored to the individual. This class interweaves my explorations in movement and somatic practices (from Pilates, martial arts, dance, biomechanics & physical therapy). The relationship of the body-mind-breath is at the centre of the movement practice. I have worked with newborns to over 90s. Do get in touch if you’re a complete beginner or if you have more specific needs for example if you’re returning to full exercise (from cancer treatment and its recovery, auto immune disorders, and muscular skeletal conditions from frozen shoulders, knee and hip replacements).

For more information on my background, experience and testimonials, please see www.sandrayoga.com or get in touch.

Today we are welcoming the darkness at Samhain/Halloween…

Traditionally, in Celtic and other communities, this evening would mark the transition between the lighter half of the year and the darker half.

Transitions and womanhood feel synonymous, as we travel through life, with the rhythms of our bodies. I wonder if we feel the transitions of the natural world more keenly because of this...

Some believe that at this time of year the division between this world and the 'otherworld' is at its thinnest, allowing spirits to pass through.

Ancestors are honoured and invited home, while harmful spirits are warded off. People wear costumes and masks, disguising themselves as harmful spirits, to ward off unwanted attention from the actual spirits.

Death Café - A Space for Life’s Deepest Conversations

3pm this Sunday at Moon.

Join us for an intimate gathering where we drink tea, eat cake, and talk about death in a warm, welcoming environment.

A Death Café is a discussion group with no agenda, objectives, or themes - the conversation simply flows from what those present bring on the day.

What to Expect
⭕ Small group-directed discussion about death, with no set topics or conclusions
⭕ A gentle, open space where all perspectives and curiosities are welcome
⭕ The chance to listen, to share, or simply to be present
⭕ Tea, cake, and conversation in good company

Why Death Cafe?
In our culture, there are few places where we can talk openly about death. Death Cafes create a safe and relaxed space for these conversations, helping us to reflect on life’s great mystery together. Since the first gathering in 2011, more than 21,000 Death Cafes have been held in 93 countries - a testament to the universal human wish to speak honestly about mortality.

Details
📅 When: First Sunday of each month
🕒 Time: 3pm to 4.30pm
📍 Where: Moon Women’s Health, 63 Chetwynd Road, London NW5 1BX
💷 Cost: Death Cafe is offered freely. If you’d like to contribute, your donation helps cover tea and cake. Every donation, large or small, helps keep the cafe welcoming and accessible for all.
📖 Booking: Spaces are limited. A friendly request: if you book a ticket and then find you’re unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so someone else has the chance to join the conversation

Come as you are. No preparation needed. Each gathering stands alone, and every conversation is unique.

The session is facilitated by Heidi Alden.

Three sessions over the coming week, to support you in tuning in and returning to Your Self...

On Sunday afternoon, Daven Lee brings us Healing Touch & Presence for the People You Love. We all have the capacity and innate ability to be healers for those we love. In this gentle 4-hour workshop, you’ll be introduced to the essential principles of holding space for healing and conscious touch.

On Sunday evening, Breathe & Let Go: Unwind Body & Mind with Ewa Bell.
You don’t have to keep holding it all together. Join us for a gentle 90-minute guided breathwork journey, designed for women who are carrying a lot, but are ready to soften, release, and come home to themselves.

On Friday evening, join Alexe Woods for Witchy Sensual Movement: A Halloween Ritual. Step into a night of magic, mystery, and deep feminine power as we celebrate Halloween. A unique 90-minute workshop, designed to awaken your sensuality, tap into your intuition, and help you embody your inner witch.
