ADHD - Family Coaching

What is ADHD Family Coaching?

Living with ADHD can create constant challenges, not just for the individual with ADHD but for every member of the family. Whether it’s managing daily routines, addressing emotional outbursts or just trying to stay on top of daily tasks, it’s easy for everyone to feel overwhelmed. ADHD Family Coaching offers a structured, supportive approach to help families tackle these hurdles together.

By learning personalised strategies, families can enhance communication, build stronger relationships and create a calmer, more harmonious home environment.

How ADHD Family Coaching helps

ADHD Family Coaching equips families with practical tools and strategies to navigate challenges faced. Coaching can improve communication and reduce conflict, and it also teaches families how to adapt their environment and routines for success. For example:

  • Improving communication: Families learn strategies for active listening and clearer expression of needs, reducing misunderstandings
  • Managing time: Parents and children work together to create visual schedules, reminders or timers to stay on track
  • Reducing conflict: Families are taught specific de-escalation techniques to handle meltdowns or disagreements calmly
  • Fostering self-esteem: Children and teens learn how to reframe negative self-talk and set realistic goals for success
  • Improving emotional self-regulation and self-restraint
  • Better motivation: Family members learn what consistently activates the ADHD person’s brain and what can lead to daily success
  • Creating the right environment: Families discover how to create an ADHD-friendly environment where everyone can thrive, strengthening family bonds and improving the well-being of the whole family

Who is ADHD Family Coaching for?

  • Parents who need support in managing ADHD behaviours
  • Children struggling with emotional regulation, social skills and daily tasks
  • Teenagers looking for strategies to navigate school, friendships and emotions
  • Students needing support with study routines, organisation, motivation and concentration
  • Young adults who need help with the demands of higher education, work and socialising

Wow! 4 years ago today... Moon hadn't opened yet, there was still a lot to be done and I had to take a breather and a sit down...

What a lot has happened in this time (including discovering barefoot shoes 😉), yet the years have flown...

Let's see what the next four years bring 😊

Join us this Monday (21st July) for our low cost acupuncture clinic at Moon Women's Health.

We’re over halfway through 2025, and our feet are firmly planted in Summer.

In Chinese Medicine, Summer belongs to the Fire element - linked to warmth, joy, connection, and the outward-moving energy of Yang. It’s a time of momentum, movement, and brightness.

Bustling social calendars, busy work schedules, and that hazy, sticky heat after a sudden downpour.

Acupuncturists love this season for its vibrant, outward energy - but we also know that all this activity can leave us feeling scattered, overstretched, or out of sync.

And if you’ve found yourself taking a few steps back with your wellbeing recently - know that it’s OK. The path to long-term wellbeing isn’t always straight.

So this Summer, ask yourself:
☀️ What do I need to feel calmer or more connected?
☀️ Am I supporting my nervous system and hormonal health, or running on empty?
☀️ Do I need to come back to the basics - like sleep, food, and breath?

Here at the Acupuncture Collective, Sophie and Dr Sunila can help you recalibrate.

Acupuncture supports your body’s rhythms, helps re-anchor your energy, and gives you space to pause and reconnect with what matters most.

Whether that’s managing stress, giving your hormones a helping hand, or laying the groundwork for the busy summer holidays - the Acupuncture Collective is here to support you.

Our next Acupuncture Collective is taking place between 2pm to 8pm on Monday 21st July - Find more details and book via the link in our bio.
