Parenting Around Food Workshop

This is a workshop that is for parents with kids in years 6 to 13.

It will centre around not just what we feed our kids, but how, when and why.

I will explain different approaches to mealtimes, where to expend your energy and areas to let go.

This is for parents who may be:

  • Concerned about your child’s eating habits but not sure how to handle them
  • In conflict with your partner about how to manage mealtimes
  • Totally fed up and exhausted by the arguments around food at home
  • Worried that anxiety levels are building to something more serious

On registration, Amber will email you to find out more about your specific concerns.

The session will be an informal setting with plenty of time for sharing and questions.

NB: This workshop is not for you if you have a child with more serious eating issues such as anorexia, bulimia or extremely disordered eating. In this instance Amber see parents privately - get in touch to find out more.

Amber Silverman’s offering on Thursday 1st May, 7pm to 9pm

  • Investment for one parent - £45
  • Investment for two parents - £70

If you would like to access the Women Supporting Women Fund to subsidise this session, find more details here.

A big welcome to Amanda Davie, whose monthly Career Coaching Circle kicks off on 6th June – find out more via our bio.

Over to Amanda 👇

Hi, I’m Amanda - a women’s empowerment, leadership and career coach.

Growing up I modelled myself on strong, driven women and girls, who used their power to help themselves and everyone around them. I took every opportunity to learn how women achieve success. I worked in teams and played netball, hockey and rugby at school/university. In early adulthood I also set myself solo challenges, like running the London Marathon (three times!) and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.

But it wasn’t until I achieved the goal of becoming a mother - finally - that I started to face external obstacles. I hit the glass ceiling, faced gender discrimination as a successful business leader, and came to the sharp realisation that working mums cannot have it all. Inevitably these external challenges led to me questioning my capability and sense of self-worth.

I embarked upon the journey of a lifetime. Training in psychology of coaching, I took a long, hard look at myself, as well as at systemic gender bias. I determined that I had work to do to build a more meaningful, fulfilling, balanced and healthier career and life for myself (and therefore for my family). In other words, I began the work of self-empowerment.

Twelve years on, I have the privilege of supporting other women, while they learn how to do this work themselves, facilitating learning and working together, in sisterhood, for maximum support and impact, aka collective empowerment.

I help women to build trust and feel safe in relationships with one another, identify goals, build capability, such as resilience, courage, healthy boundary-setting and conflict management. They overcome limits and create strategies for success, whatever that looks like for them, in their work or lives.

I offer 1:1 career and executive coaching sessions, and host career coaching circles at Moon.

When I’m not coaching I’m probably somewhere on Hampstead Heath, either running with friends, swimming in the Ladies Pond or walking my dog.
