Postpartum Revolution: Planning for a Supported Fourth Trimester

The fourth trimester is the period of time post birth where parents and baby are recovering and adjusting to life together outside the womb.

The practices, recipes and rituals of this period might differ across cultures but the sentiment is essentially the same, ‘mothering the mother’ so she can heal, regain strength and process the physical and emotional changes that she’s going through.

Everyone deserves a nourished postpartum. Too often, the noise of other people’s expectations and priorities can drown out what you personally crave. By holding space to listen to your instincts you will create a strong postpartum foundation to aid recovery, benefit longer term wellness and positively impact family bonding.

This session will cover:

  • Why the fourth trimester matters
  • How each postpartum experience is unique (including for a subsequent baby)
  • Defining your own postpartum priorities
  • Building your support team
  • Setting yourself up to thrive

This is for you if:

  • You are pregnant or a supporting a partner who is pregnant
  • You want to gain more information about the fourth trimester
  • You want to gather practical tips on how to set boundaries / invite support
  • You want to foster a strong foundation with your partner for postpartum

Melanie Appleby's Offering on Saturday 7th October, 10.30am - 12pm

A big welcome to Olivia Baker to the Moon Women's Health Practitioner Cohort.

As a Holistic Wellness Practitioner, Olivia has a wealth of knowledge and skills but at Moon focuses on Lymphatic Drainage, Trigger Point Massage and Mindfulness.

Over to Olivia 👇

I’m a holistic wellness practitioner with a passion for supporting women to reconnect with their bodies, nourish their nervous systems, and reclaim their sense of balance and vitality.

After developing autoimmune conditions nearly 4 years ago I had to rebuild my own health from the ground up, where I found reregulating my nervous system and creating an internal environment of safety, through somatic and mindfulness practices, to have the most potent impact on realigning my wellbeing.

With a warm and grounded approach, I create empowering spaces offering accessible and transformational tools to encourage healing and optimise wellbeing.

Combining my bodywork, energy healing and mindfulness facilitation, I work both 1-1 and in groups to support women in slowing down, tuning in, and reconnecting with their natural rhythms - physically, mentally, and emotionally.

At the heart of my work is the belief that healing begins with coming home to ourselves - and that every woman deserves to feel held, heard, and empowered in her journey toward wholeness.

When I’m not delving into my work you will usually either find me roaming around Hampstead Heath and climbing trees or in the dojo doing Muay Thai!

At Moon, we love how Five Element acupuncture helps us work with the rhythms of the seasons.

Summer is the time of the Fire element - linked to the Heart, joy, and connection.

But just like fire, this energy needs tending. Too much, and we burn out. Too little, and we feel flat or anxious.

Acupuncture says the Heart houses the Shen - our spirit, presence, and emotional wellbeing. When Fire energy is balanced, we feel warm, connected, and joyful.

When it’s out of balance, we may feel:

🔥 Socially overwhelmed
🔥 Wired but tired
🔥 Anxious or unsettled

This summer, tend your own flame at The Acupuncture Collective - calm the nervous system, regulate sleep, and support your Heart energy - so you can enjoy summer fully, without tipping into burnout.

Our June collective lands just before the Summer Solstice, the peak of light and Fire energy. It’s the perfect moment to pause, reset, and nourish your inner joy—gently, in nourishing community energy.

Curious what acupuncture can help with this summer?

🔥 Restless sleep?
🔥 Feeling overwhelmed?
🔥 Emotional fatigue or burnout?
🔥 Low joy or energy?

Yes, it can.

Our next Acupuncture Collective is taking place between 2pm to 8pm on Monday 16th June - Find out more and book via our bio.
