Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
EFT, also known as Tapping, is a talking therapy that incorporates gentle tapping on acupressure points on the face and upper body to promote relaxation by calming the nervous system.
EFT is a wonderful technique that calms symptoms of trauma without having to revisit old memories from the past, and has proven to have long-lasting effects for trauma relief.
If your birth experience left you with heavy emotions that feel unprocessed, we’ll gently tap together to release what’s still sitting within your nervous system, so you can calm the feelings or even flashbacks that are still present.
This approach also works beautifully for those struggling with birth anxiety who would like to feel calmer and empowered, ready for the birth of their baby.
I qualified as an EFT Practitioner in 2018 and am registered with EFT International. I have a warm and gentle approach that’ll immediately put you at ease, and I’ll gently support you to release any stress from a past event from your mind, body and nervous system.
