York Rise Street Party 2026

Join us at Moon and at our York Rise Street Party stall

We’ll have a series of sessions at Moon (scroll further down for details) and at our stall (on York Rise, near the vets) you’ll be able to meet and talk to a series of experts on women’s health.

Everything is free but if you are able to donate, all proceeds will go to Moon Community Health CIC.

You can also find a selection of beautiful handmade jumpers on our stall (donated by Mama Moon, aka Anna’s mum) being sold to raise funds, also for Moon Community Health CIC.

What the blazes!

This UK summer has been hotter than most of us can remember. Some of us are loving it. Others are counting the days until it's cooler.

Why are we all so different?

According to Chinese Medicine, we all have our own unique balance of Yin and Yang. So while one person might thrive in a hot, energetic summer, someone else may find it completely depleting.

If Yin and Yang have always sounded a bit mystical, here's a quick look.

⭕ Yin - Feminine = Still, Cooling, Nourishing, Receptive, Moistening, Interior

⭕ Yang - Masculine = Moving, Warming, Transforming, Active, Drying, Exterior

This summer has been incredibly Yang.

While that can feel energising, too much Yang can make it harder to slow down, switch off and truly rest.

You may have noticed more:

⭕️ Tired but wired
⭕️ Restless sleep or insomnia
⭕️ Headaches or migraines
⭕ Anxiety or feeling overwhelmed
⭕️ Irritability or a short fuse
⭕️ Neck and shoulder tension
⭕️ Hot flushes or menopausal symptoms flaring

Acupuncture helps restore balance by nourishing Yin and calming your nervous system. Better still, you get permission to lie down, close your eyes while Sophie or Sunila work with your body's underlying patterns, giving you the chance for a deep rest and reset.

Our next Acupuncture Collective is on 17 August, just a few days after the spectacular solar eclipse. Whether you're into lunar cycles or not, it feels like the perfect moment to pause, reset and head into late summer feeling more balanced.

We'd love to see you there.

Our next Acupuncture Collective is taking place between 2pm to 8pm on Monday 17th August.
