Happy May Day / Beltane!
The mid-point between the Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice.
Embrace the sun, listen to the birdsong*, smell the blossoms, and feel the grass under your feet!
*The swifts are back in our corner of North West London - although their song is more like the call of the devil, rather sweet song 😆
This wonderful painting is by @tijanadraws - check out her creations!1 day ago

This weekend we welcome Beltane/May Day the mid-point between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice, with our backs firmly against the cold and our faces to the sun. The year is turning, a moment to honour ourselves and where we are in life.
With this in mind, we have four beautiful offerings for you.
On Friday morning, join Kate Joseph at the MumSpace Talking Group, a compassionate talking space, to come together in shared experiences.
On Saturday afternoon, experience a nurturing Mother & Baby Sound Bath with Tracy Awere, to soothe you and baby’s nervous system.
At Sunday lunchtime, Clare Saponia invites you to re-invigorate your New Year goals, that may have been sidelined in the daily grind at the Monthly Power Reset.
On Sunday afternoon Heidi Alden invites us to join the Death Café – an opportunity to explore death in a relaxed atmosphere, cake included!
So lay down your markers for the year, take a pause, feel the ground beneath your feet and welcome the turning of the year.

Today is Earth Day - thinking about the entire Earth, and what we can do to ensure our survival, can feel daunting - but here are some local initiatives that can support you to support the Earth.
🌍 @growing_green_london - set up by local Mamas - amongst other things their focus is rewilding our local schools, and you can support them by donating or volunteering.
🌍 @fair_well_london - tackle the plastic pollution crisis by removing plastic packaging from the final stage of the food distribution chain and solving the main problem with plastic-free shopping: inconvenience. They come to you, you just need to book and buy.
🌍 @heath_hands - supporting our beautiful Hampstead Heath, sustaining its biodiversity and protecting it for wildlife and humans to enjoy. You can volunteer with them as well as joining them for their frequent events.
🌍 @chetwyndroadcommunitygarden - a local community of growers, based at the top of Chetwynd Road – follow them on Instagram and find out more.
🌍 @kentishtownlibraryofthings - borrow items, such as drills, carpet cleaners, projectors - you don't have to buy them - sharing the things you won't use often is a simple action all of us can take to live more sustainably - they're based at Kentish Town Library.
🌍 @kentishtownvegbox - all their produce is organic or naturally grown and sourced from small-scale farms as close to London as possible. Use them as a local alternative to the larger scale veg-box schemes.
🌍 @urban_forest_tribe - a local nature based community, focusing on inclusion, and a deeper bond with the natural world. Find out how your little ones can benefit from their offerings.
These are just a few of the local initiatives supporting our environment, support them and use them - helping the Earth starts at home.
